Sliding and supporting
Are your handles adjusted to the height of your wrists? Do you pull your elbows back slightly when pushing? When pushing and supporting, it is important to ensure that the Saljol Carbon Rollator is as upright as possible when adjusting the correct height of the cork handles.
The Carbon Rollator can be loaded up to 150kg and the anti-slip handles provide a firm hold, even for anxious rollator users.
The Saljol Carbon Rollator is approved for both daily indoor and outdoor use. It runs smoothly with the two-layer rubber coating and is therefore extremely quiet. On unpaved dirt roads, its super soft tyres spring as efficiently as pneumatic tyres.
In rain and damp weather the brakes "like to slip through"! The Saljol gearshift works independently of the weather and offers an additional safety brake in wet conditions.
Sitting and resting
The soft wheels jump over the uneven bumpy track, the cork grip offers a good grip even with wet hands. When muscle strength decreases, the walker is able to simply rest on the soft rollator seat. The personal park bench is perfect and always available.
Saljol recommends the adjustable and comfortable back strap for an increased sitting experience and for added safety.
The Saljol Carbon Rollator can provide the necessary independence and walking motivation to manage a wide range of tasks including the weekly shopping and socialising.
The scenario of driving down a steep ramp with a full shopping basket in your rollator! At the beginning of the ramp you pull the brake, but you have to release it again and again...the rollator pulls it downhill...
The Saljol gearshift defuses the situation! Similar to an engine brake when driving downhill and shifting down into the next smaller gear, the gearshift on the two rear wheels brakes the carbon rollator. It takes over a part of the loaded rollator and helps you to go downhill safely.
For uphill driving, the driver is safely accompanied by the low own weight over 5.8KG and the gear shift. Like a hill starting aid in modern cars, the gear change supports the rolling backwards.
Kerbs and Thresholds
To minimise risk and make it easier to overcome kerbs and thresholds, Saljol has integrated extra-flat tipping aids on the rear wheels that are ergonomically accessible to the feet. The distance for the foot is minimal and therefore safer than with conventional rollators. By the way, our customers are enthusiastic about the ease with which the rollator climbs when the tipping aid is "started".
Rollators are allowed on public transport. The rollator must not be used as a seat in the bus. We recommend to park the Carbon Rollator in the bus on the multi-purpose area with the parking brake depressed and to look for a place against the direction of travel.
Tip! With only 22cm folding it does not take up much space and could also be parked next to you.
By the way, the safest way to get off is backwards, with one hand on the bus and the other on the walker.
Parking and Loading
Simply press down the two smooth-running brake handles on the left and right of the handle. The rollator stands securely on the spot.
Saljol recommends folding the carbon fibre rollator to its 22cm width to take it with you in the car. It fits into even the smallest luggage compartments.
The small pack size of the Saljol Carbon Rollator invites you to travel. It is quickly assembled and stowed away. When travelling by car, please ensure that the rollator is well lashed and that no heavy objects are placed on the carbon frame.
Tip! Inform the airline about the take-away. Most airlines take your rollator with them free of charge.
93% of older people live within their own four walls. The house or apartment is often cramped. The rollator has to be manoeuvred in the smallest of spaces. Open the door with one hand and the other with the other. There it is safer to have a stable and agile indoor rollator like the living room rollator Page available.
Quality and safety
The Saljol Carbon Rollator was developed in Germany and is constantly being further developed together with the users. Saljol safety standards comply with the directive 93/42/EEC.
