Patented Trionic Climbing Wheel Technology

The Veloped Sport's game-changing feature is its patented Trionic Climbing Wheel system. By spreading the load over two wheels slightly displaced in the travelling direction, the climbing sequence is divided into two steps. An angled link arm uses your pushing force to give the Veloped a unique capacity to climb obstacles up to 13cm high - for instance, a high kerb or rock.

When overcoming lower obstacles, such as a dropped kerb at a zebra crossing, you only need a fraction of the pushing force a single wheel requires. With 12-inch wheels, you'll glide over such obstacles without even noticing they're there. The pivoting link arm also provides suspension - on uneven ground it constantly pivots and suspends the ride, turning an off-road walk into pure pleasure.

True Off-Road Capability

The Veloped Sport's 3-wheel design results in permanent ground contact on any uneven surface. Just like a 3-wheeled baby jogger with big wheels, the Veloped is a true all-terrain machine - in fact, it's the only walker or rollator on the market that is genuinely off-road capable. For superior manoeuvrability, easy turning whilst retaining climbing capacity, the front wheel can be raised with a simple adjustment handle - perfect for urban use. In its alternative position (all-terrain mode), the wheel has a full suspension and climbing function with increased directional steadiness - perfect for off-road adventures.

The Veloped Sport's framework is made from high-grade aluminium exclusively, with absolutely no plastic parts whatsoever. The frame is TIG-welded from hydroformed, butted, and heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminium tubing, which keeps the weight remarkably low (from just 11.4kg) whilst offering exceptional strength. Important components like the fork, link arm, wheel adjuster, grip bar, and telescopic folding stay are all crafted from high-grade extruded and heat-treated aluminium.

All-Terrain Brake System

Unlike conventional rollator brakes that work directly on the tyre surface, the Veloped Sport features powerful and exclusive hub brakes that are fully protected from dirt, water, and snow. This means you can always rely on optimal brake performance, regardless of whether you're walking in sunshine, pouring rain, or deep snow. The all-aluminium brake levers feature Kraton rubber surfaces that prevent your fingers from getting cold when touching metal during winter walks.

This means you can walk closer to the grip handles, which automatically results in a more upright and ergonomically correct body posture - essential for comfortable, fatigue-free walking. The U-shaped ergonomic grip bar offers several grip positions and, whilst seated, acts as a supportive backrest. The grip bar can be freely height-adjusted to suit your body height perfectly.

Air-Pressured Tyres with Puncture Protection

The Veloped Sport comes equipped with lightweight Trionic X-Country air-pressured tyres as standard. These feature a mountain bike-like tread that suits both off-road and on-road use, along with a puncture protection belt and reflective logos for added safety. The 12-inch wheels offer a softer ride and unbeatable comfort - they don't cause vibration like solid tyres, so you're less prone to suffer pain and discomfort in your hands, elbows, and shoulders when walking on uneven ground.

Intelligent Folding System

Through a quick push of the button on the telescopic folding stay, you can fold your Veloped to pass narrow passages. To fully fold it for transport or storage, press the second button on the telescopic stay and fold the frame all the way. You can also push the grip bar to the bottom position and detach the wheels using the quick-release axles (all made from 100% stainless steel) to minimise transport dimensions even further.
