Getting in and out of the car can be one of the hardest parts of the day, especially when there's nothing solid to hold on to. The HandyBar gives you a sturdy handle exactly where you need it, turning your own car door frame into a reliable support point.
It slots straight into the U-shaped striker on your door frame (the metal catch the door latches onto) and holds firm, giving you something solid to push up from as you stand, or to steady yourself as you sit down. No tools, no fitting and no modifications to the car. When you're done it lifts back out and tucks into the door pocket or glovebox, ready for next time.
The moulded non-slip grip is comfortable to hold and takes your weight as you move, supporting up to 159 kg (25 stone). Built into the handle are two emergency tools you hope never to need: a seat belt cutter and a window breaker, both close to hand if you're ever caught out.
At under half a kilo it's light enough to leave in the car permanently, or to carry with you if you travel as a passenger in more than one vehicle.
