Description
The byACRE Carbon Overland rollator is a rugged addition to the byACRE family of carbon fibre rollators. It's incredibly lightweight and offers superb capabilities on all terrains.
Design
The byACRE design ambition for the Carbon Overland rollator has been to give people the freedom to go wherever they want, whenever they want. In the process, byACRE realised that they were aspiring to the same features as the iconic Land Rover Defender, which has been around for the last 70 years. In admiration of this iconic vehicle, they created a special edition – the Carbon Overland Defender – which is a tribute to the original Land Rover Defender.
Brakes
The brake cables are uniquely and painstakingly designed to route through the frame in order to give a sleek, untarnished appearance to the byACRE Overland. This also reduces the chance of the cables getting caught on door handles, tree branches etc. -reducing the possibility of pricey repairs.
Colours
The Overland is available in a classic Defender Green and a timeless Bentley Brown. Later in October, the Midnight Blue and Rose Gold will join the lineup.

Strength
Rumour has it that three out of four of the very first batch of Land Rover Defenders are still roaming the streets today. The goal is for the Overland to beat that achievement.
The byACRE Overland is for all-terrain and is built to last with a frame made from carbon fibre five times stronger than steel – to prove it, there is a lifetime warranty on the frame.
Versatility
Despite its strong capabilities, it remains a lightweight rollator among all-terrain rollators at only 6.7 kg, thanks to the carbon fibre frame and durable yet lightweight aluminium materials.
This keeps the outdoor rollator agile and able to cover long distances easily. At the same time, it folds flat from a single movement and can easily be lifted into a car, train and aeroplane.
There kerb lifter on both sides to help you get over challenging hurdles with ease.
Freedom
With ultra-durable pneumatic inflatable rubber tyres and rigid front forks with sealed bearings, theOverland can take on even the toughest terrains. Combined with the shock-absorbing properties in the carbon fibre frame you have the highest level of driving comfort – regardless of the terrain. You will have the freedom to go anywhere.
byACRE took the best from the Carbon Ultralight and combined it with ultra-durable pneumatic tyres, that conquer beaches, forests and mountains. The result is a design marvel of a tough, versatile, strong all-terrain rollator. It is a rollator that is built to last and gives you your freedom and curiosity back.
Going fishing? No problem if you bring yourOverland. You can rely on this all-terrain rollator for support and stability when walking in the woods and the seat provides a comfortable and assured place to rest when needed.
Accessories
There are a range of accessories to complement the rollator, including a backrest, cane holder and travel bag.

Interesting Read
We partnered with Multiple Sclerosis blogger - Martin Baum, who provided an interesting and entertaining overview of the byACRE Carbon Overland rollator.
The height of the handles should match the height of your wrists when standing comfortably.
Seat Height
The seat height is fixed. To test which seat height is best, try sitting on a chair which is of a similar height. The most important part of a rollator seat is how easy it is to get in and out of, so try sitting to see if you will be comfortable getting in and out of it frequently.
Seat Width
When manoeuvring in and out of the rollator seat, it is preferable that your hip width is less than the width between the handles on the rollator. You can still use your rollator even if it's a bit too narrow around the handles, but you may need to do a 'salsa' to get into the seat.
Understandably this is a significant purchase to make. The below graph displays how much the rollator works out costing you per day over 1, 5 and 10 years of ownership. We hope this provides an insignt in to the value (and freedom) the rollator will provide you over the course of ownership.

I was impressed by the write-up of the rollator (even though you probably wrote it yourselves!) and thought this sounds just wonderful, and you sounded so earnest, I was totally taken in. I saved up £550 over a few months, enough to buy an Overlander.
The exact delivery date arrived, there was a knock on the door, and hey presto, there was an Overlander in a massive brown cardboard box!
Had I been there I would have been ecstatic, but no, I was in the bath!! (the last place anyone qould want

Superbly designed rollator
A superb rollator, however we found the back rest very difficult to fit. Eventually a stronger ground fitted it for me. The best designed rollator I have seen.

I'm 70, with knee and hip arthritis, a knee replacement and stability/balance issues. The Overland has changed everything...my hope was to stay independent, on my own two feet, and not fear falling over and that's exactly what it has delivered. I can easily fold and lift it into the back of our little Toyota Aygo, it's a dream in terms of manoeuvrability and is happy on rough concrete paths, rutted muddy bits and on the big playing field where the dogs love to run and roll! More than that though..it has an indefinable quality of a personality that has melded with mine..I can't express it, but I'm really happy when I'm out and about with it. Magic. Oh, and the service from Assist Mobility was fast and faultless.

early days
The overlander is truly an eyeopener both in style and manoverability. I have only had practise runs so far, and the Overlander is making me stand up more erect, which I am finding quite tiring. My wife is encouraging me to persist, as if I carry on stooping my nose will soon touch my toes!. It feels very secure in use, I feel in full control and the brakes are easy to apply. Next week we take it away for a full trial in hope it makes our travels more fulfilling.
