Description

The Carbon Overland off-road rollator is a recent addition to the byACRE family of carbon fibre rollators.  It's incredibly lightweight and offers superb capabilities on all terrains.

Design

The byACRE design ambition for the Carbon Overland rollator has been to give people the freedom to go wherever they want, whenever they want.  In the process, byACRE realised that they were aspiring to the same features as the iconic Land Rover Defender, which has been around for the last 70 years.  In admiration of this iconic vehicle, they created a special edition – the Carbon Overland Defender – which is a tribute to the original Land Rover Defender.

Brakes

The brake cables are uniquely and painstakingly designed to route through the frame in order to give a sleek, untarnished appearance to the Overland. This also reduces the chance of the cables getting caught on door handles, tree branches etc. - reducing the possibility of pricey repairs.

Colours

The Overland is available in a classic Defender Green and a timeless Bentley Brown.

Strength

Rumour has it that three out of four of the very first batch of Land Rover Defenders are still roaming the streets today. The goal is for the Overland to beat that achievement.

The Overland is for all-terrain and is built to last with a frame made from carbon fibre five times stronger than steel – to prove it, there is a lifetime warranty on the frame.

Versatility

Despite its strong capabilities, the Carbon Overland remains a lightweight rollator among all-terrain rollators at only 6.7 kg, thanks to the carbon fibre frame and durable yet lightweight aluminium materials.

This keeps the outdoor rollator agile and able to cover long distances easily.  At the same time, it folds flat from a single movement and can easily be lifted into a car, train and aeroplane.

There kerb lifter on both sides to help you get over challenging hurdles with ease.

Freedom

With ultra-durable pneumatic inflatable rubber tyres and rigid front forks with sealed bearings, the Overland can take on even the toughest terrains.  Combined with the shock-absorbing properties in the carbon fibre frame you have the highest level of driving comfort – regardless of the terrain.  You will have the freedom to go anywhere.

byACRE took the best from the Carbon Ultralight and combined it with ultra-durable pneumatic tyres, that conquer beaches, forests and mountains. The result is a design marvel of a tough, versatile, strong all-terrain rollator. It is a rollator that is built to last and gives you your freedom and curiosity back.

Going fishing? No problem if you bring your Overland. You can rely on this all-terrain rollator for support and stability when walking in the woods and the seat provides a comfortable and assured place to rest when needed.

Accessories

There are a range of accessories to complement the Overland, including a backrest, cane holder and travel bag.

Shipping

The Overlands are dispatched from Assist Mobility's UK-based warehouse. We aim to get it to you within 48 working hours of your order being placed.

Warranty

Extend the byACRE warranty from two years to a 'finite warrant' by simply registering your byACRE rollator within the first three months after purchase and receiving the additional warranty on the rollator frame. Our customer service team are happy to register on your behalf if you give us a call.

Love it!

Already own a carbonlite which is amazing, used every day everywhere for the last 4 years. My balance has worsened so needed something a bit sturdier outside and for work so got overland and I am not disappointed. Super solid, light, folds easily, brilliant colour (green). Tyres are different to other model so can get puncture but hopefully not!

Really good piece of kit

I love the Overlander because of its flexibility and it enables me to access all areas on and off road .
I took it to a country house for an open day & it was equally happy inside and in the surrounding parkland. It’s so light and conveniently fits into the boot of our smart car without any problem. Genius!

An excellent product

The rollator was packed well and delivered on-time. The product is exceptionally well made and very manoeuvrable.
It is not too heavy but ideally I would have liked it take up a little less space when folded down, however this is the only slight criticism
i could make of a really good product.

Fantastic Walker

I purchased the byAcre Carbon Overland Off Road Rollaor for my dad who has been struggling with his knees for years and has had to use canes to walk, but he really struggled to walk very far, so after lots of google searches I came across this product, its definitely not the cheapest option but my dad is quite young at heart so I didn't want him to have, what I thought of as a old person type, The Overland is most definitely not that, but the aesthetics make up for it. Conveniently It arrived fully made (Big cardboard box to get rid of) and really quickly (a couple of days) from Assist Mobility The walker itself is sleek and lightweight, There is no risk of the brake cables snagging as they are concealed in the frame, it is really easy to open and fold together & is just under 7kg. The seat is comfortable although it will be snug if you have really wide hips & according to the specifications it will seat someone up to 23 stone, the frame also has a lifetime warrenty (which you have to register, easy to do) The handles are adjustable as well so it allows the perfect posture. Since Dad has had it, he has been walking much more & he says its not as hard on him arms and hands as the canes & if he does get tired he can just sit & get his breath back. This walker will allow him & my mum so much more freedom that it is worth the extra cost.
I also want to say the customer service from Assist Mobility was great, sorry I can't remmember the ladies name but after I left a message for advice between this one or the Pioneer, she called me back very quickly and ran through the pros & cons of both & actually advised on the cheaper one but the weight limit steared me more to this one, but they have been an absolute delight to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Fantastic

At 52, I hadn’t really considered a rollator previously, but my disability has got worse and I’ve been struggling to get anywhere using my walking stick. I also get out of breath and suffer pain after short distances, so a mobile seat is much needed. I didn’t really want to look like an OAP yet though, so have resisted rollators previously.

But I eventually bit the bullet and bought the Carbon Overland, for a few reasons:
My size and weight (22st) limited my choice of rollator considerably, and the CO is able to handle my size and weight
The CO doesn’t look like a traditional rollator, I think it’s way cooler and looks less like an ‘old person walker’ in my opinion
It enables me to go off-road and access places I haven’t been in a long time
It has a lifetime warranty so should last me the next 25 years
It folds up easily and is very lightweight so goes in the back of my Fiesta easily

First impression? Why did I wait so long to get one?!?!

I instantly knew this was a great purchase, I can go farther faster in less pain, I’m not so worried about falling either. It looks pretty darned snazzy too! Yes it’s considerably more expensive than most other rollators, but over my lifetime it works out at something like 5p a day. I hopefully won’t ever need to get another either, this will undoubtedly outlast me. I figure it’s like the Land Rover of rollators, you pay extra for a better product that’ll let you go where others won’t.

I have nothing bad to say about it - it’s easy to set up, easy to use, looks good, works great, and has given me back some of the freedom my disability took away. All in all, I’m a very happy owner.

And I have to add my thanks to Assist Mobility for sending it so quickly after I ordered, it arrived the very next day. Their customer service is also fantastic, quick to respond and very helpful.

A definite two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
